PURPOSE:To make an original stopping position of the second sheet easily determinable, by detecting the copying paper size selected according to the original size of the first sheet to be fed, determining a conveying distance of the second original, and on the basis of this determination, controlling an original conveying device. CONSTITUTION:A conveying control device determines the conveying distance of an original OR1 to be set in a second position B and controls an original conveying device on the basis of the copying paper size selected for producing a copy 2. And, this control device consists of software of a microprocessor, and in the memory, a copying size and the conveying distance to be determined by an automatic original feeder 30 corresponding to this copying size, for example, a pulse number to be set in a timer corresponding to the rotating time of a drive motor of a conveyor belt 39 are stored in advance. If copying of one original OR2 is over, a conveying command on the second original OR1 is outputted. And, the required pulse number is found out of a corresponding table of the copying paper size and the pulse number stored in the memory, and the original OR 1 is conveyed to the second position B. |
