PURPOSE:To improve the antislip feature of a tyre on frozen road or so while maintaining the resiliency and the shock attenuating ability, by embedding a plurality of approximately U-shaped wires in the radial face of a tyre inside the tread rubber with the ends of the leg pieces thereof oriented toward the ground surface. CONSTITUTION:Approximately U-shaped metal wires 4 are embedded in a tread rubber 3 which is bonded to the base band 2 of a solid tyre 1. Each of the wires 4 is shaped in the approximately U-shaped form, having the leg pieces 4b bonded from both ends of the bottom side 4a thereof, and is embedded in such a manner that the bottom side 4a and the tip parts 4c of the leg pieces 4b are positioned at the sides of the base band 2 and directed to the ground surface respectively and the tip parts 4c of the metal wire 4 are partially exposed to the ground surface 5. Metal wires 4 are set in such a manner that the distance (t) between the bottom part 4a and the surface of the base band 2 is determined within the range of 15-50% of the thickness of the tread rubber 3. On the other hand, the tread radius of the tread rubber 3 is determined within the range of approximately 300-700mm.. |
