PURPOSE: To increase dewatering efficiency of waterworks sludge by mixing raw waterworks sludge with coal ash or waste molding sand, thereby producing sludge cake with a low water content of less than 55 wt.% and strength of higher than 1.0 kgf/cm¬2. CONSTITUTION: In a method for dewatering waterworks sludge by drawing sludge primarily stored in a thickening tank to supply them to a water storage tank and supplying the temporarily stored sludge to a dewatering device, a tank is equipped between the thickening tank and the water storage tank to make the sludge pass by and after 20-50 wt.% of a coal ash or waste molding sand, based on the total weight of the dry sludge, is put in the sludge in the control tank. |
