摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to conduct the ignition of plasma and its control in a stable manner by a method wherein a multiwinding transformer, having the coil arrangement similar to the primary winding coil of a Tokamak type nuclear fusion device main body and also having an ignition coil, is coupled to an ignition power circuit. CONSTITUTION:A multiwinding transformer B has the coil arrangement similar to the mainbody of a Tokamak type nuclear fusion device A. As a result, the magnetic field pattern in the vicinity of an ignition coil 36 resembles to the magnetic field pattern of the main body of the device A. Accordingly, great electromagnetic force is not generated when a current is allowed to flow to the coil 36. When the current of the coil 36 is changed suddenly in the above-mentioned state, an induced current, with which the magnetic flux variation interlinked to the transformer B coil is suppressed, is caused to flow. As the impedance matrixes of the device A main body and the multiwinding transformer B are alike, high voltage is generated on the plasma 35 region of the device A main body, and the plasma is ignited. At this time, a current is induced so as to have little change in magnetic field in the plasma 35 region of the device A main body. As a result, a stable operation can be conducted even in the region of a low plasma current immediately after ignition.</p>
