<p>PURPOSE:To allow data reproducing at the time of high-speed tape traveling by providing a head driving means which drives a playback head in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of a tape-shaped recording medium and a tape transfer means which allows the tape-shaped recording medium to travel at a specified speed. CONSTITUTION:This device has the playback head 2 for reproducing the recording information of the tape-shaped recording medium 1, a decoding means 3 which decodes the output of the playback head 2 to the signal before the recording, the head driving means 4 which drives the playback head 2 in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the tape-shaped recording medium 1, and the tape transfer means 5 which allows the tape-shaped recording medium 1 to travel at the specified rate. The reproducing operation of the recording signal is executed by setting the transfer speed of the playback head 2 by the head driving means 4 at an adequate value even if the tape 1 is transferred at a high speed. The reproducing of the recording signal is executed in this way while allowing the tape to travel at the high speed.</p> |
