PURPOSE:To express a musical sound with a correct initial touch regardless of the technique of performance by generating initial touch data by using a modulation wheel. CONSTITUTION:The initial touch data is data which is generated at the start of sound generation and on, for example, an electronic keyboard musical instrument, the data is generated according to a key-ON speed detected by a detecting circuit 15; and the is electronic musical instrument has the modulation wheel 31. When the initial touch data is generated at the start of the sound generation, current modulation wheel data is inputted to sound source circuits 21 - 23 instead of the initial touch data. The sound source circuits 21 - 23 use the modulation wheel data as the initial touch data to control the musical sound. Therefore, even a player who can not make a correct initial touch can input data corresponding to the initial touch by rotating the modulation wheel 31. Consequently, while the expressing ability is maintained, the performance is facilitated. |
