PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cogeneration system for realizing energy-saving.

SOLUTION: This cogeneration system includes: a cogeneration apparatus 3 generating heat and power; an exhaust heat type heating means N for heating hot water in a hot water storing tank 4 by heat generated in the cogeneration apparatus 3; an auxiliary heating means M heating hot water when the hot water is not stored in the hot water storing tank 4; and an operation control means 7 controlling the operation. When an operation start command of the cogeneration apparatus 3 is given by a manual operated operation start command means 34, the operation control means 7 operates the cogeneration apparatus 3 in the lapse of power generation delay time after the operation start command.
