PURPOSE:To generate a waveform having high an accuracy by executing an interpolating operation of a high degree, even if an operation speed of a waveform memory is low, and even if a ratio of an original sound pitch inputted by sampling and a sound pitch to be reproduced is large, in the waveform generating device of a pitch asynchronous system. CONSTITUTION:A mode instructing means 160 determines a mode in accordance with a difference DIF between a fundamental address integer part before one sampling period and the present fundamental address integer part, a waveform value read-out means 130 reads out a waveform value of a sample point which is not stored in a waveform value storage means 150 in sample points required for an interpolating operation in accordance with this mode, and in accordance with the waveform value stored in the waveform value storage means 150, the interpolating operation corresponding to the mode is executed in an interpolating operation means 170, and a waveform is generated. |
