PURPOSE:To obtain good printing quality without generating sticking, wrinkles and the breakage of a support by constituting the heat-resistant protective layer provided to the rear surface of a support of amino modified polysiloxane, polyisocyanate and/or an amino modified polysiloxane/polyisocyanate reaction product. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer recording medium wherein a thermal transfer ink layer is provided to the upper surface of a support and a heat- resistant protective layer is provided to the rear surface of the support, the heat-resistant protective layer is constituted of amino modified polysiloxane, polyisocyanate and/or an amino modified polysiloxane/polyisocyanate reaction product. As a result, good printing quality can be obtained even under a condition of high energy printing, many-time printing or high speed printing without generating sticking, wrinkles or the breakage of the support and excellent blocking resistance and thermal head refuse resistance are imparted. |
