PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer dye donating material excellent in transfer properties and imparting high density by adding a pyrazoloazole azomethine dye having a specific structure. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer dye donating material wherein a dye donating layer containing a thermal transfer dye is provided on a support, at least one kind of a pyrazoloazole azomethine dye represented by formula I [wherein R<1> is a group represented by either one of formulae II-IV (wherein R<8>-R<11> are a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or the like and R<12> is an alkyl group, an aryl group or the like), R<2> is a 3-8C alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group or a halogen atom, R<3>-R<6> are a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a halogen atom or an alkoxy group and Za, Zb, Zc are -N= or -CR<13> (wherein R<13> is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group)] is added to the dye donating layer. |
