<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain stable communication by preventing light from being interrupted by snow accretion when snow falls in a free-space optical communication device. <P>SOLUTION: In the free-space optical communication device, a beam lighting device and a light receiving device which receives light projection luminous flux emitted from the beam lighting device are arranged face to face interposing a specified distance, and information transmission is performed by luminous flux which spreads inside of atmosphere. A transparent member is arranged at an outlet of light projection luminous flux of the beam lighting device and/or a portal portion of light receiving luminous flux of the light receiving device, so as to intersect luminous flux.
