The invention relates to a light ledge for background illumination of level glasses, especially for use in explosion hazardous areas. Light emitting diodes (2) mounted in a row on a circuit board (1) are covered by a transparent ledge (4) having cavities (3) resting tightly against the light emitting diodes (2). Through tight casting mass, circuit board (1) having light emitting diodes (2) and ledge (4) are casted into an enclosure (6) having a light aperture (7). Around the light aperture (7), a packing (8) seals against a level glass comprising a housing (9) having two separate glass walls (10, 11), liquid (12) being conducted in between said walls. <IMAGE> |
