<p>A double-glazing unit having a plurality of spacers interposed between a pair of flat glasses and spaced along the sheet surface to define spaces between both the flat glasses, the spaces being hermetically sealed and under reduced pressure. No double-glazing unit has been proposed which is permeable to light and, at the same time, can shield the line of sight and maintain high heat insulating properties for a long period of time. In the double-glazing unit of this invention, at least one of the flat glasses constituting the pair of flat glasses is constituted of a frosted glass which has been disposed so that a surface (3) which has been treated to provide irregularities faces in a direction opposite to spaces (V). Alternatively, a coating (6) may be provided on the surface of the glazing unit remote from the spaces (V). This enables the surface where the spacer is in contact with the flat glass to be kept smooth and local stress concentration derived from unstably abutted state to be avoided, permitting both glazing and high heat insulating effect to be maintained for a long period of time.</p> |
