<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical device capable of transmitting image data color reproduction of which can be accurately performed to an output device side without needing a processing time regardless of the types of necessary color component information in transmitting the image data to various output devices having different pieces of necessary color component information. <P>SOLUTION: Image data of a primary color system and a complementary color system obtained by using an imaging device for detecting three primary colors of R, G, and B from one photo-voltaic cell group are stored by utilizing a characteristic that absorbs light with different wavelengths (colors) at different depth.
