Electric motor brush support for automotive applications, e.g. for windscreen wiper motor

The brush support (2) includes a flat body (6) with a symmetry axis (7) and a projection (8) along its edge. One surface of the body presents two recesses (14) aligned along the body axis and receiving two brushes (18). Two spiral springs (20) are mounted around two pads (22) on the support surface. One of the spring extremity is attached to a brush thus keeping the brush in contact with the motor collector. One brush is connected to a thermal protection component (26) while the other brush is connected to a conducting path on the body surface.
