The method for bundling tree seedlings, e.g. for distributing young fruit trees grown in a nursery, consists of rolling the seedlings (F) in a number of turns of stretch plastics film taken from a roll (300), covering both roots and crowns of the seedlings. The bundling machine comprises a fixed frame (100) with a rotor (200) turning about a horizontal axis (A-A') and carrying a roll of plastics film (300) which is reeled round the bundle as it is moved lengthwise by a carriage (400) controlled by a guide and bearings.
