The system achieves braking through friction between brake shoes and a roller rim. The effect will be exerted on two wheels simultaneously with the help of two pairs of brake shoes. The braking system is operated by means of a hand device (2.1) and a shoe device (2.2). The hand device (2.1) has an ergonomically shaped braking lever integrated into a glove. The shoe device (2.2) is operated by moving a leg backwards to cause a movable outer shoe part to rotate with a resulting tensioning of the Bowden wire of the braking system. The safety system also features integrated and removable knee and elbow protectors.
