The present invention provides an apparatus for carrying equipment by a user. The apparatus comprising: a container (264), a removable part (265) configured to provide access to the contents of the container, a carrying strap (267), a connection plug (273) electrically coupled to the equipment, a connector (268) coupled to the container, and packing material (271) disposed among the equipment to isolate the equipment from azards. The equipment includes: a mobile control unit, a mobile data terminal, and a power supply coupled to one of the mobile data terminal and the mobile control unit.
