A toner cartridge (24) is disclosed which includes a case (25) having two toner discharge openings (26, 27) through the surface connected to a toner hopper (23), two sealing films (28, 29), and a reeling shaft (36). The sealing films (28, 29) are removably adhered to the portion adjacent to the toner discharge openings (26, 27), and seal the toner discharge openings (26, 27). The reeling shaft (36) is rotatably supported by the case (25), and allows the plurality of sealing films (28, 29) to be removed from the toner discharge openings (26, 27) during toner cartridge installation by reeling the sealing films (28, 29) around the reeling shaft (36). At least one of the plurality of sealing films (28, 29) is longer than the others, and is attached to the reeling shaft (36) in a direction opposite that of the others. This arrangement allows the timing of removal of the sealing films (28, 29) to be shifted, thereby reducing the amount of torque required for their removal. <IMAGE> <IMAGE> |
