PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for effectively processing a margin formed on photosensitive material at the time of printing an image in an image forming device equipped with an exposure part having longitudinal printing mode for printing the image so that the long side of the image may be parallel with the carrying direction of the photosensitive material and a lateral printing mode for printing the image so that the short side of the image may be parallel with the carrying direction of the photosensitive material. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a printing size setting part 73 setting the printing size of the image, a photographic paper size detection part 74 detecting photographic paper size, a mode selection part 75 selecting a printing mode based on the printing size and the photographic paper size and a printing layout change part 80 changing the printing position in the width direction of the image in accordance with the margin in the width direction of the photographic paper formed in the case of printing the image on the photographic paper in the printing mode.
