PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly and surely realize channel automatic switching independently of a state of a receiver in the case of the switching. SOLUTION: A TS generating section 14 multiplexes cannel automatic switching information on usual program data and transmits the multiplexed data while a just preceding program or the like is received. A TS decoder section 124 of a receiver 120 extracts the switching information as a TS decoder state signal, the extracted information is compared with a present time corrected by a time information generating section 129, and outputs switching destination frequency information to a demodulation section 123 and outputs switching destination PID information to the TS decoder section 124 when they are coincident so as to realize channel automatic switching.
