摘要 PURPOSE: A process of preparing a styrene-based polymer by fluidizing a styrene-based monomer, a metallocene catalyst and a cocatalyst in a microfluidizer before supplying to a reactor and controlling the particle size of prepared styrene-based polymers to less than 100 micrometer is provided, which can produce a styrene-based polymer having syndiotactic configuration efficiently and continuously, without adhesion of the polymer to the reactor. CONSTITUTION: The styrene-based polymer is prepared by a process consisting of: fluidizing a catalytic mixture comprising a styrene-based monomer, a metallocene catalyst and an inert organic solvent, a cocatalyst mixture comprising a cocatalyst containing the styrene-based monomer and an organometallic compound, and an inert organic solvent in a microfluidizer; and supplying the fluidized mixture to a reactor with the catalyst and cocatalyst. The metallocene catalyst is a group IV metal compound and the cocatalyst is an alkylaluminoxane and/or alkylaluminium compound. A ratio of aluminium of the alkylaluminoxane and a group IV transition metal of the metallocene catalytic component is 10 : 1 to 500 : 1.
