摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device of laser welding wherein a welding nugget diameter is &le;100 &mu;m, welding in a microscopic area having a welding depth &ge;200 &mu;m is realized, and the device is downsized. <P>SOLUTION: The laser welding method includes: making a laser beam outputted by a laser beam generating means 1 enter an optical fiber 10 via an incident optical unit 9; and irradiating a welding part with the laser beam emitted from the optical fiber 10 via an emission optical unit 11. In this method, a core diameter of the optical fiber 10 is made &le;100 &mu;m, an incident NA value of the optical fiber 10&le;0.05, and an emission NA value of the optical fiber 10&le;0.1.
