PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and quickly perform a diameter expanding operation of a lock ring and the diameter expanding maintenance when connecting a detachment prevention pipe coupling. SOLUTION: This jig is constituted of a jig constituted by inserting a tip 20 into a division of the peripheral direction one-divided lock ring 5 stored in a lock ring storing groove 3 on an internal surface of a pipe socket 2, screw- fitting a screw rod 25 having formed screw lines for making lead angles at both ends opposite each other into a pair of two leg bodies for connecting a base end side 21 in a V-shape at a fulcrum 22 and providing handles for rotating and operating the screw rod 25 at both ends of the screw rod 25, and a jig constituted by providing a planar tip part 30 inserted into an expanded division of the lock ring 5 and a handle part 31 which is integrally provided so as to be foldable from the internal surface of the pipe socket 2 to the external surface of the pipe socket 2 via an end face from the planar tip part 30 and stepwisely changing the width of the planar tip part 30 corresponding to the expanded width of each division for the lock ring 5 having several different sizes in the planar tip part 30.
