<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the entry of water into a battery even in the case of a reduced seal width. <P>SOLUTION: A battery element having a positive electrode and a negative electrode is housed in a film exterior member 20. The exterior member 20 has a metal layer 21, a resin layer 23 provided on the metal layer 21 at the side of the battery element via an adhesive layer 22, and a resin layer 25 provided on the metal layer 21 at the opposite side to the resin layer 23 via an adhesive layer 24. The adhesive layer 22 has a water permeability of 800g/(m<SP>2</SP>day) or less at a thickness of 25 μm under 40°C and 90%RH and a thickness of 10μm or less.
