PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable solar cell generator which is capable of supplying power to a battery and a load, even when a solar cell is unable to generate a power due to night time, rainy weather, etc., and furthermore, protecting the battery from overdischarging. SOLUTION: A manual generator G, a DC converter C and a changeover circuit C are provided. If amount of sunshine is sufficient and the output voltage of a solar cell PV is not less than a specified value, the output voltage is converted into a variable voltage by the DC converter C and supplied to a battery BA for charging and supplied to a load LD. If power is generated by the manual generator G, power is supplied to the load LD through diodes D2 and D4. Furthermore, if the output voltage of the manual generator G exceeds a specified value, a relay RY1 is turned off and a relay RY2 is turned on by the changeover circuit CC, and the battery BA is charged through the DC converter C. When power is supplied to the load LD via a diode D3 through only the battery BA, if the voltage of the battery BA is lowered to a value lower than a specified value, the relay RY1 is turned off, and the battery BA is cut off from the load LD to protect the battery BA from overdischarging. |
