PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a test period of an accelerated test of a cable. SOLUTION: A primary accelerated test is executed relative to a test body of the cable at 100 deg.C or higher. Elapsed times correlated with optional elongations of the test body obtained by the primary accelerated test are obtained relative to each temperature condition, and Arrhenius' plots in each temperature condition are formed. An activation energy shown by the inclination of each Arrhenius' plot is obtained. A correlation expression between the elongation of the test body and the activation energy is formed. A secondary accelerated test relative to the test body is executed at 100 deg.C or lower. The secondary accelerated test is finished before reaching the life time of the test body. The activation energy at the finish time of the secondary accelerated test is obtained. The activation energy is substituted into the correlation expression to obtain the activation energy at the life time of the test body. An environmental test is executed in the test condition obtained from the activation energy.
|
