<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier suitable for obtaining an image of high quality over a long period with little fluctuation with lapse of time without the occurrence of carrier sticking, a two-component developer, an image forming apparatus, and a process cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: When the magnetization at 1,000 oersted of the carrier is defined as σb, and the magnetization at 1,000 oersted of the carrier desorbed by rotating a cylindrical sleeve internally holding a fixed magnet after magnetically holding the carrier on the cylindrical sleeve as σ30, the magnetization ratio σ30/σb is 0.96 to 1.00, the product of the carrier magnetization σb and the true specific gravity ρc of the carrier is 200 to 400, 10≤ρb/ρc≤20, the weight average diameter of the carrier is 25 to 65 μm, and the particles below 12μm are ≤0.3 wt% and the ratio of the weight average diameter and the number average diameter is 1 to 1.3.
