<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-integrated magnetic bearing device which can improve the long-term durability of a rolling bearing against the load of a thrust load and also can minimize the power consumption of a motor. <P>SOLUTION: Rolling bearings 15 and 16 support radial loads, and a magnetic bearing supports either or both of an axial load and a bearing preload. The electromagnet 17 of the magnetic bearing faces contactlessly thrust boards 13a and 13b provided in a main shaft 13. The motor rotor 28a of an axial gap motor 28 is composed of the above thrust boards 13a and 13b and a permanent magnet 28aa provided in this thrust board. It is provided with a position sensor which detects the angle between the motor rotor 28a and a motor stator 28b, a speed sensor which detects the rotational speed of the motor rotor 28a, and a current sensor which detects the current flowing to the motor coil 28ba.
