<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer of which the handling method of invisible data (particularly, confidential information) is improved, a printing control method, and a printing system. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 20 receives print data and detects whether or not a document of the print data includes watermark information. When the printer detects the watermark information, it judges whether or not the information embedded in the watermark information is of personal information.
