<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array antenna capable of irradiating an object of low height with electric wave using large electric power, and its beam control method. <P>SOLUTION: This array antenna comprises a transmitter 6 for generating a transmitted signal, a distributer 3 for distributing the transmitted signal, a plurality of multipliers 2 for multiplying a plurality of outputs of the distributer 3 by a complex load, and a plurality of element antennas 1 for transmitting the respective outputs of the plurality of multipliers 2. This array antenna also comprises a target direction estimating means 7 for estimating the target direction based on the estimated target position, a multipath direction estimating means 8 for estimating the multipath direction as the transmission direction of multipath wave reaching the target position, a reflection coefficient estimating means 10 for estimating the reflection coefficient of the multipath wave from the angle at which the multipath wave is reflected, and a load calculating means 5 for calculating the complex load to be multiplied by the plurality of multipliers 2 based on the target direction, multipath direction, and reflection coefficient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
