FRICTION STATE ESTIMATING DEVICE, AUTOMOBILE, AND FRICTION STATE ESTIMATING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly estimate the friction state between a wheel and a road surface.

SOLUTION: A friction state estimation means determines the friction state (stable/unstable) of a wheel based on the physical quantity to indicate at least any one of the relationship between the pressure applied to a brake pad and the rotational state of the wheel and the strain generated in a fastening part of a knuckle and a brake caliper. Thus, the friction state between the wheel and the road surface can be estimated correctly.
