A payment processing system using a phone number is provided to use a card including a phone number of a portable terminal, and to process credit card payment by using a card, then to process usage charges through a mobile communication provider that provides a communication service to the portable terminal. A payment processing system(100) using a phone number comprises as follows. A phone number passbook(201) is generated by combining a phone number of a portable terminal(10) with a user number suggested by a user of the portable terminal. Usage charges of a phone number card issued for the passbook are paid by a phone charge cost of the portable terminal. If arrears occur for phone charges, the portable terminal processes payment of the phone number card in the passbook. |
