An asymmetric storage system and a method for supporting pre-reading are provided to process a continuous pre-reading requested by a user while reducing the input/output of a hard disk. A data storage(303) stores data according to a data-writing request of a user, and a data service processor(301) performs a processing operation to perform a correspondent data service according to the data-writing request. When the reading request is continuous operation, a pre-reading manager(302) performs the pre-reading of the correspondent data. The pre-reading management unit removes the pre-reading structure from the list by corresponding to the deletion request of a user.
