A bulb-shaped LED lamp, wherein the temperature of the motor for a cooling fan is reduced and a reduction in the performance of the cooling fan is avoided at the same time as the light-emitting efficiency of the LED is improved. The LED lamp has: a bayonet cap; an LED substrate having a polygonal cross-section and being formed in a cylindrical shape; an LED element mounted on the outer side of the LED substrate; a heat sink mounted on the inner side of the LED substrate; a through hole formed on the inner side of the heat sink; a cooling fan disposed between the bayonet cap and the heat sink; and a translucent cover. The LED lamp may be configured such that: a spacer is provided between the cooling fan and the heat sink; the cooling fan has a motor and a ring-shaped through hole around the motor; the spacer has a center member, a ring-shaped member around the center member, and a through hole between the center member and the ring-shaped member; and the through hole of the spacer is disposed to match the through hole of the cooling fan.
