PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-insulating material in which the heat-insulating property of an alloy having a quasicrystalline phase, is further improved, by taking advantage of the fact that even being an alloy, because of the quasicrystalline phase, has an insulating property.SOLUTION: Provided is a heat-insulating material comprising an AlCuFe-based alloy, and in which the AlCuFe-based alloy has an i phase and a β phase, the i phase is a quasicrystalline phase, the β phase is a crystalline phase, and in which, setting the X-ray diffraction maximum peak intensity of the i phase as Iand the X-ray diffraction maximum peak intensity of the β phase as I, I/(I+I) is exceeding 0.77 and less than 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
