摘要 A robotic unscrambler (10) apparatus is provided that ensures articles (29) that are delivered in an initial orientation are transported in a conveyable orientation for further treatment at one or more stations in a production line. The apparatus includes a conveyance apparatus (12) and at least one picker(20). An uprighting device (34) is provided with a series of guides(28). The picker (20) removes articles from the conveyance apparatus(12), and places the articles onto one of the guides(28). The uprighting device (34) moves the guides (28) between article placement positions and article conveyance positions. Each guide (28) may include a contoured article support surface (28b) that facilitates centering of an article (29) placed thereon.
