a glass or glass-ceramic cooktop, the cooktop having a control panel and at least one heating zone; and a control system, wherein the control system, the control panel, and the at least one heating zone are operatively connected, and wherein the control system has a first temperature limiter setting that is suitable for a standard cooking operation and a second temperature limiter setting that is suitable for a non-standard cooking operation, the second temperature limiter setting being different from the first temperature limiter setting.
