PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator keeping sealability with which foreign matter is hard to enter the inside of a housing, without increasing processes of machining, and discharging abrasion powder generated inside the actuator to the outside, and provide a continuously variable transmission using the actuator.SOLUTION: In a housing 11 of an actuator configured to arbitrarily move a pulley of a continuously variable transmission, formed is a cylindrical member 25 housing a screw shaft (output shaft) 24 of a ball screw mechanism 20, and onto the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical member 25, formed is a fixing groove 14c configured to fix a seal member 50 for sealing the screw shaft 24 in a slidable manner. The seal member 50 is preferably a U packing, and its opening part 51 is fixed to the fixing groove 14c toward the opening side of the cylindrical member 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
