PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a torque required for a paper feed motor and to achieve miniaturization of the paper feed motor.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus has a first rotating body which is disposed in a conveyance path and conveys a recording material to an image forming part and a second rotating body which is disposed at an upstream side of the first rotating body. First driving means drives the image forming part and the second rotating body. Second driving means drives the first rotating body. Control means controls the first rotating body or the second rotating body in such a manner that a back tension occurring to the second driving means is reduced when a recording material is in between the first rotating body and the second rotating body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
