The present invention provides: a novel Pseudoalteromonas sp. M2 strain, which is a microorganism having excellent antibacterial material producing ability and isolated from an intestinal sample of Halocynthia roretzi; a pseudane-based compound produced from the strain; and a skin whitening agent containing the pseudane-based compound as an active ingredient.
