<p>The invention relates to matrix displays using arrays of crossed electrodes, such as in particular plasma matrices. In order to benefit from the better resolution and the lower manufacturing costs of electrode arrays formed by photo etching an aluminium layer, whilst also benefitting from good reliability characteristics in hostile environments, the invention proposes to produce the connections between the electrode arrays and the external control circuits as follows: - the ends (24) of the aluminium electrodes are laterally spaced from the connection pins (26) which will be connected to a gold-plated copper or gold-plated beryllium connector; - these connection pins (26) are based on gold (deposition by silk- screen printing); - the electrical connection between the two is produced by an intermediate conductor (28) which is compatible with aluminium and with gold from the point of view of the risk of corrosion; for example silver, titanium, platinum, tungsten. <IMAGE></p> |
