<p>PURPOSE:To provide a shell type image formation device capable of preventing an upper body from being closed, while a sheet jam is not completely eliminated. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a sheet jam detection means 50 to detect the occurrence of a sheet jam within a device body, a control means 51 to send an instruction for the device body to be kept open until the sheet jam is completely eliminated, according to a signal from the means 50, and a device open means 19 to keep the device body open, while an opening instruction is being sent from the control means 51.</p> |
