<p>The invention relates to a method for controlling a beam (F) of gamma radiation for treatment by irradiation, and in particular for the treatment of cerebral lesions. According to the invention, in a first step the radiation from a source is focused in a substantially divergent annular path, in a second step the annular beam thus created is clipped of the oblique radiation generated, and in a final step the annular beam is focused in a substantially convergent annular path until a voluminal focal spot (V) is obtained which is of an intensity and size corresponding to the treatment of a lesion (T) of a given volume.
