PURPOSE:To provide a large width of opening even in a narrow site by disposing a horizontal member for interception and a plurality of auxiliary horizontal members between the left and right gateposts vertically movably and storing the horizontal members in a pit when they are lowered. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of auxiliary horizontal members 3 are arranged between a horizontal member 2 for interception 2 and a lower horizontal member 9, and the horizontal members are connected to one another by cables 4 to form a door of a gate. Thereafter, the door of a gate is vertically movably mounted to gateposts 1 provided with a motor 7 and a power transmission shaft 5 etc., through a chain 6, and a pit is excavated between the gateposts 1 so that the door is folded when it is lowered to store it. And the door is vertically moved to open or close it, and even in a site wherein there is no room in the width direction of an entrance, the width of the opening of the gate can be fully utilized. By this method, the site can be utilized effectively. |
