PURPOSE:To select plural functions without unnecessarily occupying an area by setting the prescribed function according to a position output corresponding to the turning angle of a second part to a first part at the first and second parts linked so as to be freely turned. CONSTITUTION:A transmission part 1a and a reception part 1b at the main body of a telephone set are freely turnably linked by a pair of link parts, and so-called two fold type structure is provided. Concerning one link part, a cylindrical part 2a of the transmission part 1a at the main body of the telephone set is provided with a rotary variable resistor 6, a cylindrical part 2b of the reception part 1b is provided with a grip part 61 of the variable resistor 6 and when the reception part 1b is turned to the transmission part la, the resistance value of the variable resistor 6 can be varied corresponding to the turning angle. When the reception part 1b is turned almost at 90 deg. to the transmission part 1a, for example, corresponding to the resistance value of the variable resistor 6 at such a time, an electronic notebook erase mode is selected, for example, in addition to the waiting mode of reception while turning on a power source. |
