PURPOSE:To obtain a developer carrier having low hardness and stable electrical characteristics, not causing interlayer peeling or surface cracking and excellent in toner releasability and to provide a developing device using the developer carrier. CONSTITUTION:In a developing device in which a nonmagnetic one-component developer is carried on a developer carrier by a thin layer forming member and an electrostatic latent image is converted into a visible image by the carried developer, the developer carrier is composed of an epichlorohydrin rubber-sponge layer as the lowest layer, an epichlorohydrin rubber layer as an intermediate layer and a layer of a mixture of epichlorohydrin rubber with a resin compatible with the rubber as a surface layer. |
