The aircraft rotating piston engines with counter-rotating propellers (3) are placed in a cradle around the airframe. either on each side of the fuselage or above each wing. The engines and propellers are mounted on a transverse shaft (4). The transverse shaft is displaced frontwards or rearwards on runners (5) integral with the fuselage by electro-mechanical or hydraulic actuators (6). Displacement of the weight of the engines and the propellers towards the front or rear re-establishes a correct centring for stability if required.
