POWER SUPPLY CONTROL SYSTEM FOR INFORMATION PROCESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology capable of controlling power supply after protecting data in an information processor from a remote terminal equipment. SOLUTION: The system is constituted of a service processor 3 for discriminating an instruction from a remote terminal equipment 1, a power supply control circuit 4 for controlling the ON/OFF of power supply based upon a power supply ON or OFF instruction outputted from the service processor 3 and a power supply part 6 for turning on or off the power supply based upon the power supply ON or OFF instruction from the circuit 4. The processor 3 discriminates the power supply OFF instruction outputted from the terminal equipment 1, and after stopping application software being executed by the information processor, the processor 3 instructs the circuit 4 to turn off the power supply, the power supply part 6 turns off the power supply based upon an instruction from the circuit 4, so that the power supply to the information processor can be controlled from the remote terminal equipment 1.
