<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an ink-jet recording paper which is excellent in ink-jet recording properties, especially in gloss. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the ink-jet recording paper comprises the steps of forming at least one layer of an under coat layer containing a pigment and adhesive on a substrate and forming a cast-coating layer on the under coat layer. The method comprises the steps of applying a coating liquid for the cast-applying layer on the undercoat layer, drying the liquid half, then, making it contact under pressure on the mirror surface of a heated drum and completely drying and finishing. The pigment in the cast-coating layer contains silica particles having an average primary-particle diameter of 3 nm to 40 nm and an average secondary-particle diameter of 10 nm to 400 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
